The Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the New Juaben North, Mr. Samuel Adongo, publicly known as Sammy Adongo has promised massive development in the constituency.
To him, developmental challenges have delayed the growth and progress of the constituency despite the fact that New Juaben North Constituency is the stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Sammy Adongo said that measures are being put in place to leverage economic growth, job creation, and poverty reduction in the area through constituent’s empowerment and collaborating with investors to establish firms in the constituency.
Despite the fact that New Juaben North Constituency is the stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), the NDC PC for the constituency called on constituents to change their pattern of voting in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary polls.
Practicalizing his quest to boost the local economy, Mr. Samuel Adongo has commenced the renovation of the Oyoko market which has not seen any major renovation since its construction many years ago.
Mr. Samuel Adongo said that the Oyoko market which has played a key role in the New Juaben North Municipality economy has been in a deplorable state for the past years and by extension derailed market activities.
The market has also provided rural and urban residents access to essential household products; however, the current situation of the market has discouraged customers and traders, a situation motivating residents to desert the market for their own shops in joint areas in the municipality.
Touching on the unemployment rate in the municipality, Mr. Samuel Adongo affirmed that many businessmen and women are currently jobless due to the ineffectiveness of the market, hence restoration of the market to reduce the higher unemployment rate in the area.
To this, Sammy Adongo has injected GH₵500,000 as the estimated cost for the renovation of the market in the quest to create employment opportunities for the people in the New Juaben North for economic growth and social stability in the area.
Some traders who spoke with the media during the inspection of the market expressed grave concern over the inability of the New Juaben North Municipality Assembly to give a facelift to the market.
The NDC New Juaben North PC has also provided a mechanized borehole for the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Senior High School (SHS) at Effiduase to contribute to the quality of teaching and learning.
Mr. Samuel Adongo has presented three wheelchairs to the Gyamfikrom CHIP compound as well as plans to also give a facelift to the Gyamfikrom CHIP compound to improve the quality of healthcare delivery at the local level.
In a related development, the NDC PC for the New Juaben North Constituency in an effort to galvanize the base of the party to victory, Sammy Adongo on Saturday organized a mammoth health walk. Addressing the teeming supporters after the walk, Samuel Adongo called on Ghanaians, especially people in the constituency to vote massively for the NDC in the forthcoming December 7general election.
He demonstrated that the NDC has what it takes to address the economic challenges confronting the country as a result of the maladministration of the current government. To him, most of the youth are now unemployed as such could not earn anything for their livelihoods, especially paying for basic needs such as food, due to the worsening economic situation.
In changing the hard economic narrative, he charged members of the NDC to carry the message of salvation to every home within the constituency because things are unbearable and the only way to reverse the situation is to let the people kick out the NPP.
He further motivated the constituents to turnout in the numbers during the December 7, election to vote massively for the NDC because the party flag bearer Mr. John Mahama who was the President between2012 and 2016 brought a lot of development to the country and improvement in the living standards of the people.
Mr. Adongo disclosed that Ghana currently needs change, a change in government which will lead to improvement in the living conditions of the people and the only person and party that can bring that is Mr. Mahama and NDC.
He assured residents in the constituency that when voted to power, Mr. Mahama’s administration would complete all ongoing projects in the area that had been abandoned by the NPP.
