Former Minister Finance and Economic Planning, Dr Kwabena Duffuor has gone through successful vetting processes as the party commenced vetting of its flagbearership aspirants.
Dr. Duffuor was accompanied by the NDC stalwarts and cadres including the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma South Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Honourable Fritz Baffour has appeared the vetting committee on Tuesday March 28, 2023.which has took place at the NDC headquarters in Accra.
Dr. Duffuor last week successful filed his nomination forms and other relevant electoral documents to contest the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer race come May 13, 2023.
Dr Duffuor is competing in the race with former President John Dramani Mamaha, a former Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu and businessman Ernest Kwaku Kobeah who have successfully filed their nominations.
Speaking in an interview with journalists in Accra, Dr Duffuor called on rank and file of the NDC to endeavour to unite after the May 13 primaries to ensure the NDC won the 2024 general elections.
A leading member of the NDC, Honourable Baffour who spoke on behalf of Dr Duffuor stated that Dr Duffuor has excelled when he appeared before the vetting committee of the NDC.
According to Honourable Baffour, Dr Duffuor has demonstrated to the vetting committee through the way and manner he answered questions posed.
He explained that Dr. Duffuor has really showed that he is a true member of the NDC who has leadership capacity to lead the party to win the 2024 general to revitalise ‘our economy and put it back on its feet and repair our governance systems.
Against this backdrop, Honourable Baffour called on the delegates and members of the NDC to vote massively for Dr Duffuor to win the flagbearer race of the NDC and subsequently wrestle the political power from NPP which has messed up the Ghana’s economic.
