Some Assembly members within the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly have said they will buy the parliamentary nomination forms for the minority leader who doubles as MP for Tamale South Constituency, Haruna Iddrisu.
They are Jakara-Yili Assemblyman, Alhaji Ibrahim Tijani and Lamashegu North Assemblyman, Alhassan Major, who are also branch executives of the party in their respective polling stations.
Mr. Alhassan Major pledges to pay for the nomination form for the MP which costs GHC 5,000.
His colleague for Jakara-Yili Electoral area has also pledged to pay for the filling fees for the Minority Leader which costs GHC 40,000.00.
The main opposition National Democratic Congress has will open nominations for the parliamentary primaries in February as communicated by the party’s General Secretary at a press conference held on Wednesday.
