In light of the leadership changes the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has made in parliament, Mr Richard Ahiagbah, director of communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that the NDC should abandon its bid for the presidency in 2024.
Haruna Iddrisu has been replaced as a minority leader by Dr Cassiel Ato Forson in the NDC. James Klutse Avedzi was fired by the party from his position as deputy minority leader.
Kofi Armah Buah, a member of parliament for Ellembelle, has also taken his post.
“The NDC should kiss the Tamale South, Ketu North, and Asawase seats, and the 2024 Presidential elections goodbye.
“The NDC preaches virtue and practices vice,” he tweeted.
The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, gave an explanation for the decision following the changes in the Minority leadership.
He claimed that the economy, energy, and infrastructure are currently the most often discussed subjects.
He claimed that the party thought it important to put their best men—those who are knowledgeable about these issues—forward in order to achieve this.
