The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is expected to unveil Campaign Team and Running mate for December general elections on Wednesday, 8th July 2020.
According to Spokesperson for the NDC’s flagbearer, Joyce Bawa Muntari, the ceremony will be held with few leaders of the Party due to COVID protocols and Restrictions.
In an interview, Joyce Bawa Muntari said Mr. John Dramani Mahama and his potential Vice president, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang are expected to address party leaders and supporters.
The spokesperson said there were broader consultations before selecting the running mate and called on party supporters to accept the choice of the flagbearer and continue the campaign for victory.
Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Peter Boamah Otokunor has subtly described the running mate choice of former President John Mahama, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, as a “just come.”
According to him, she joined NDC in 2013 when she was appointed Minister of Education by then-President John Dramani Mahama.
