The vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has assured the chiefs and the people of Sekondi of her party’s zeal in ensuring that development in the various sectors of the economy, mostly the oil and gas area become more useful to them and their surrounding neighbourhood when voted into power.
According to her, NDC will pursue a national development agenda across the country without any marginalization.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang gave the assurance during an interaction with the members of the Sekondi Traditional Council as part of her campaign tour of the Western region.
The acting President of the Sekondi Traditional Council, Nana Barima Ekow Gyesa II also said that since development is essential to the livelihood of humanity, the progress of the oil and gas sector according to the promises of the NDC’s vice president must reflect in the wellbeing of the youth in the region when they come to power.
Nana Ekow Gyesa II added that they are hopeful that when NDC wins power, they will rapidly help to address their needs.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang then appealed to the chiefs and people of Sekondi to vote for the NDC for meaningful change in their region.
