Former Minister of Communication Dr. Edward Omane Boamah says the NDC will establish Cocoa Processing factory attached to Cocoa Research Institute to add value to the Cocoa in the Eastern region and create jobs for the youth.
The factory will operate under the 24-hour economy policy.
This he believes will help create job opportunities for the youth of Abuakwa North in particular and stimulate the local economy .
The Chief of Akyem Tafo Osabarima Adusei Peasah recently bemoaned that the youth in the area were not getting job opportunities in CRIG blaming the situation on protocol recruitments from Accra by Political actors.
Addressing a campaign rally at Ati a suburb of Akyem Tafo, Dr.Omane Boamah said “Tafo is a place where all the researches about our Cocoa industry is done .so it won’t be far fetched for a Cocoa Processing factory to be established here under the 24-hour economy policy for a three shift work .It will create jobs for the youth and add value to our Cocoa sector “.
He urged the Electorates to vote for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Parliamentary candidate Charles Darko Yeboah alias Ozey.
