George Opare Addo, the National Youth Organiser for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has declared that the NDC will win the general elections in 2024.
He believes that Ghanaians need a new administration, and he believes that the NDC will make sure that occurs during the next general elections.
“We know the 2024 election will be difficult. We are happy about the Assin North win. We can’t fail the good people of this country. We need a change and NDC will provide that,” Opare Addo told Johnnie Hughes on the Sunrise show on 3FM Thursday, June 29 while commenting on the Ain North by-election which was won by the NDC candidate.
Mr. Gyakye Quayson won the seat back in the by-election on Tuesday, June 27 by defeating Bernice Enyonam Sefenu of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) and Charles Opoku of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He has a more than 1,300 vote advantage over the 2020 results. Mr. Gyakye Quayson won the election with 17,498 votes, defeating Abena Durowaa Mensah of the NPP with 14,193 votes.
Mr. Gyakye Quayson, whose election was ruled unlawful by the Supreme Court in 2020, will reappear to assume his place in Parliament.
