On Friday, October 20, 2023, Mr. Okai Mintah, the newly appointed Chairman of the NDC National Youth Working Committee, paid a significant visit to the Secretary-General of the Socialist International, Ms. Benedicta Lasi Esq, at her office in Vauxhall, London. This marked the first of what promises to be a series of visits, following his recent appointment by the NDC Functional Executive Committee and the National Youth Wing.
The meeting was characterized by a warm reception as Mr. Mintah arrived at the Socialist International’s London office. Subsequently, the two engaged in extensive discussions, focusing on how the Socialist International, a prominent international organization, could offer assistance to the NDC Youth Wing. As a high-standing member of the organization, the NDC seeks to leverage this relationship to strengthen its position and strategy for the 2024 general elections.
Ms. Lasi expressed her delight at the visit, emphasizing the commitment of the Socialist International to extend valuable technical support to the NDC and its Youth Wing.
This support is aimed at positioning the party for success in the upcoming 2024 general elections. Furthermore, she advised the NDC to provide more political leadership opportunities to young people, emphasizing the importance of equipping them for effective governance.
Following this significant meeting, Mr. Mintah’s engagement continued as he joined the UK/Ireland Chapter of the NDC for their Post-Elections Celebrations on Saturday, October 21, 2023, in Tottenham, North London.
During this event, he delivered a charged message to NDC members, urging them to put forth their best efforts. The goal is to ensure that the NDC, led by President John Mahama, secures a one-touch victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
The Post-Elections Celebrations in North London were attended by prominent figures in the NDC, including Comrade Joseph Yammin (National Organiser), Comrade Mustapha Gbande (Dept General Secretary), Comrade Chief Biney (National Coordinator, ALPHA PROJECT), Comrade Abraham Ferguson (Supreme Leader), and Comrade Conrad Dumbah (UK/Ireland Chapter Chairman), along with their respective executives. The event drew a crowd of enthusiastic members and sympathizers of the NDC, reinforcing the party’s unity and determination.
