National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) “Green Book” has been touted as an artistic work, lacking reality to deceive Ghanaians for vote.
The NDC, before the 2016 general election launched the Green Book portraying the achievements of the John Mahama led government, which received different opinions at the time.
Speaking to the Deputy Director of Communications at the Presidency, Hon. Fatimah Abubakar, on “EFA Woho” morning show on Dadi FM with Abena Opokua Ahwenee, she described it as an artwork just yo deceive Ghanaians for votes.
She said, most roads which were displayed in the Green Book already constructed, are not as they are in reality.
“The roads in the NDC Green Book which were said to have been constructed, were all just a mere artwork to deceive Ghanaians” she alleged.
Hon. Abubakar insisted the Akufo-Addo led government has achieved a lot in its first term in office, considering the numerous projects initiated and therefore, would not accept any polls that seem not to appreciate the good work of the government.
“IMANI said we were not performing, and then Afro barometer also comes out to say a greater percentage of Ghanaians are in faith with the same government. So you see, they are all saying different things. We as a party do our surveys to access what is on the ground, so the best survey would be during the 2020 elections” Madam Abubakar explained.
On the President – Media encounter, she was of the view it is one of the mediums to interact with Ghanaians, and also respond to questions from the media who are seen as the mouthpiece of the public.
“I think we have to let our communicators do more to educate Ghanaians on the achievements. But the truth of the matter is that we have performed creditably” she added.
