The Education Ministry has denied a publication by some online news portals indicating that textbooks for the new curriculum will persist until 2024.
A statement signed by the PR Unit of the ministry accepted the fact that there has been a delay in the supply of textbooks to accompany the new curriculum for Basic schools but was also quick to add that over 1,500 Resource Packs have been distributed to teachers nationwide to enhance teaching and learning activities.
It also added the contracts for publishing textbooks have been signed by the Public Procurement Authority and that Publishers have 120 days to complete their mandate after the day of signing.
