Eastern Regional Coordinating Council (ERCC) held two separate meetings to introduce the newly appointed Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong.
The first meeting was with the entire staff of the ERCC at the conference hall before he met Regional Security Council Members (REGSEC) at his office.
In a brief introductory statement, the Chief Director of the ERCC, Mr. Samuel Donkor, speaking at the staff meeting assured the Honourable Minister that the entire staff was ready to offer all the technical support needed to realize his vision. He said the vision of the Regional Minister which is the vision of the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo must be the objective of the staff.
Addressing the staff, Hon. Acheampong thanked the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo for the trust and confidence reposed in him to represent him in the region. He also expressed his deepest appreciation to the Chief Director and the entire staff for the warm reception he has enjoyed and with the belief that it shall continue throughout his tenure.
He admonished the staff to respect each other and work together as a team to achieve the common goal of developing the Region. He said he would offer open-door administration where suggestions, questions, and even constructive criticism would be welcomed.
Later in the day, another meeting was held to formally introduce the Hon. Acheampong to the REGSEC Members at his office. The security Chiefs in the Region pledged their commitment to ensuring sustainable peace and security in the region for smooth development.
