A media practitioner and a resident in the New Juaben North municipality of the Eastern region is urging President John Dramani Mahama to appoint Samuel Adongo, the NDC parliamentary candidate in the 2024 election as the MCE.
In a Facebook post, Kwahu Dehyie was of the view President Mahama must appoint someone who can have the technical know-how to help create jobs for the people

Once upon a time , I introduced to you a potential MCE for New Juaben North municipal assembly for a possible consideration.
Today, I can boldly and confidently say that, Hon. Samuel Adongo has submitted himself to the vetting committee and he has successfully gone through a rigorous vetting and has been shortlisted alongside other 2 applicants for the consideration of the President HE John Mahama
Once again Hon. Samuel Adongo stands tall and unique amongst the other 2 shortlisted.
The agenda of the president of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama to reset Ghana cannot be complete without resetting the local assembly system and the people appointed to occupy such positions.
To emphasize on the above I appeal to the appointing authority herein referred to as The President to appoint people of his calibre to represent him at the MMDAs, People who share the same vision with his reset agenda
People who have the support of stakeholders and the grassroot who are the base of the party.
People who can unite the party at the base and by extension people who appeal to both divide of the political parties.
Please Mr president appoint someone who can woo investors into the municipality and create Jobs for the youth.
Don’t appoint an arm-chair MMDCE, he will ‘reset’ your resetting agenda.
Your Excellency you know Hon. Samuel Adongo posseses such qualities. You know him very well, not just by face, you know him by name too
I once again appeal to you HE John Mahama to consider Hon. Samuel Adongo
I cannot end here your Excellency without reminding you of your promise to the people of New Juaben North constituency when you visited them during your last campaign in the region. You promised you will support Hon. Samuel Adongo to establish a bag manufacturing company in the constituency.
The people accepted it with joy and it was confirmed by the overwhelming votes you and Hon. Samuel Adongo garnered from New Juaben North in the 2024 general elections
Mr president I trust your convictions.
I cannot wait to see you appoint Hon. Samuel Adongo as your choice for NJNMA, a choice by the people and for the people but I am also with no doubt that you will make the best of choice for the people of New Juaben North Municipal assembly.
