The New Juaben North Municipal Assembly has commissioned a new ambulance service office block for the staff of the Ghana Ambulance Service.
The facility located at Abrewa Nkwanta in the municipality will serve the people of Akwadum, Jumapo, Effiduase, Oyoko, and other surrounding towns in the Municipality.
The facility fully funded from the assembly Internally Generated Fund (IGF) was constructed by SAMO TRUST Construction Company. It comes with an ambulance crew common room, Directors’ office, resting and washes rooms. The project is part of the government’s effort to improve on ambulance service delivery system in the country.
According to the Municipal Chief Executive, Comfort Asante, the government is determined to strengthen emergency services in the country to help save more lives.
According to her the provision of 307 ambulances to each constituency early this year is a step to this commitment.
She commended all stakeholders who contributed in diverse ways for the completion of the facility.
The Chief of Effiduase, Nana Okwowia Dwomo Baabu commended the current administration for the numerous infrastructural projects being embarked on throughout the country. He called on all citizens to play their role to support the government to move the nation forward.
