The New Juaben South Municipal Education Directorate has commenced investigation into a viral video of an ICT teacher doing practicals withdrawn computer Keyboards.
The students were seen as withdrawn computer keyboards on their desks for practicals.
The Teacher was heard in the video lamenting that “this is Koforidua, no computers for practicals. This is the natural keyboard “.
An Official at the GES office in Koforidua told Mybrytfmonline.com that, the directorate is searching for the specific school where the video was taken.
Mybrytfmonline.com has gathered that teachers in the Municipality are being partly blamed for the consistently poor performance of BECE candidates for the past six years in the Municipality which has triggered certificate audit and realignment of subjects by the GES.
However, the Teachers strongly disagree, arguing that, they do not have the Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs), whereas students do not have textbooks and logistics.
This ICT teacher wants to buttress the point that he shouldn’t be blamed for candidates’ poor performance in ICT subjects because the school doesn’t have a single computer for ICT practical.
