The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Michael Okyere Baafi has reaffirmed his strongest commitment to spur on the teaching and learning of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) in the Constituency.
According to the MP, ICT is an inevitable part of education globally therefore equal access to ICT facilities is critical.
The MP said this when he joined Koforidua RIIS Presbyterian Basic School to Commission a refurbished ICT laboratory.
He donated desktop computers to support the project.
“I had the privilege of joining the management, staff, and pupils of RIIS Presbyterian Model Basic School to commission a refurbished ICT Lab for the school.
I donated desktop computers to stock the lab to facilitate the teaching and learning of the ICT.
I’m determined to do more to improve education in my constituency. I thank the school’s Headmistress, Madam Deborah Afumwaa Nyarko, the teachers, and the PTA of RIIS Basic School for their efforts in grooming our future leaders” the MP said.
The Headmistress Deborah Adumwaa Nyarko is hopeful the newly refurbished ICT lab would facilitate the teaching and learning of the subject for the students to have practical knowledge about it.
