The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Michael Okyere Baafi provides free transportation to his constituents this yuletide.
Constituents will be transported free of charge to almost all communities in the constituency.
Additionally, the MP is establishing food bank for the aged under am intervention dubbed “shop and Go”.
Whilst many constituents are hailing this gesture, few are concerned that it is yet another populist social intervention which will in the long term cripple development because funds that could be used for valuable projects may be diverted to fund this interventions.
However commerical drivers operating in the constituency are not happy stating that, the free ride intervention will affect their operation and income.
