The New Juaben South municipal office of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has embarked on Special Registration and Mobile Renewal Month to educate the public the need to renew their subscription anytime their cards expire.
The exercise also afforded subscribers the opportunity to have their cards renewed either manually or on mobile.
At the launching at Koforidua, the Municipal Pubic Relations Officer, Joseph Nii Commey told the media, the motive behind the exercise is to come closer to the people so as to offer them the opportunity renew their cards without having to walk long distances to the office.
Starting from October 1, 2020, the exercise is expected to end on October 31st, 2020 at all major stations and various communities within the municipality.
Mr Nii Commey took the opportunity to advise Ghanaians to take advantage of the exercise and the policy to ensure their health for any future stress they may go through.
He insisted that his outfit is committed to ensuring the sustainability of the policy to benefit the health needs of all Ghanaians no matter one’s financial status.
“I will advise all Ghanaians to take the NHIA registration seriously as it is a big intervention in terms of emergency health needs of every Ghanaian” he added.
