Assembly Member for Old Estate East electoral area, Hon Victoria Oforiwaa Darko has appealed for support for victims of Monday night rainstorm.
Speaking to Bryt FM reporter Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma, Hon Darko emphasized that efforts to seek for the support of NADMO delayed and therefore has to step in and assist victims of the incident.
According to her, she has been able to clear a tree that fell on the road while those who have their roofing sheets ripped off are been contacted to seek support for them.
Hon. Darko urged the NADMO, cooperate bodies, NGOs and philanthropists to come to the aid of victims, in order to lessen their current burden.
She also advised residents with the Electoral area to as matter of urgency ensure the roofing of their houses are well checked and renovated to avert any future occurrence in the midst of the rainy season.
