In a quest to enhance the skills and knowledge of young people in various areas, Botnar’s foundation in collaboration with other partners have equipped youths on digital advocacy in the New Juaben South Metropolitan Assemby of the Eastern Region.
The foundation, through a community hearing program dubbed ‘Empowering Community Voices,’ has empowered the youths in the metropolis to tackle issues hindering development in their area.

It focuses on strengthening youth capacity and deepening their involvement in governance. The community hearing was to engage the young generation with impending issues and find lasting solutions to improve their lives.
Some Assembly Members in the New Juaben South commended Botnar foundation for the initiative, which will help the younger generations to implement strategic projects through inclusive engagement and advocacy.
Speaking in an interview with Nhyiraba Solomon Nartey after the program, some indicated that the foundation has assigned participants to identify their challenges confronting their areas in group presentations.

The program which took place at Koforidua-Nyamekrom was a collaborative effort involving STAR-Ghana Foundation, National Youth Authority (NYA), AFES-Ghana, and the New Juaben South Metropolitan Assembly.
A town hall meeting was later held at the Apenteng Hall to take views and contributions from the youth on what they expect from government and duty bearers.
