Founder and Flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo has revealed that his government when elected will pay newly born babies GH₵200 each month.
According to him, his government will ensure that university education is made free for all and also ensure that children below 18 years enjoy the special benefits.
Mr. Akpaloo made this assertion during an exclusive interview with a radio station.
“We (LPG) are going to do things differently from the way NPP and NDC have been handling this economy.
The major thing we are going to introduce is the child benefit; every child below 18 years will receive a monthly allowance of GH₵ 200, and if you are lucky to have twins then they will receive GH₵ 300 each”, Mr. Akpaloo asserted.
The LPG flagbearer went on and disclosed that when elected into power, he will give unemployment benefits to persons above 18 years in which the unemployed will receive a monthly allowance of GH₵ 400. Accepting that the said amount (GH₵ 400) is very little but believes it’s better than nothing.
