National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in the Eastern Region took to the streets of Koforidua, conducting an extensive educational campaign as part of activities to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
NHIA staff visited homes, offices, and shops to enlighten residents about the MYNHIS App, a recent innovation aimed at streamlining membership processes.
Recognized for its commitment to innovation, NHIA introduced the MYNHIS App to alleviate the challenges of long queues and extensive procedures faced by registrants at district offices. This initiative not only promises to enhance user experience but also significantly reduce the operational costs associated with producing ID cards.
During the “MYNHIS App Storm” float, health heroes from district and regional offices engaged in spirited marches and chants to raise awareness. Flyers and informational materials about the app were distributed, with staff offering assistance to residents to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the new platform.

He praised the dedicated staff for their role in achieving an active membership of 17.2 million by the end of 2022. Emphasizing the goal of universal health coverage (UHC), he urged staff to strive for enrolling all Ghanaians in the scheme.
