With the establishment of the NHIS Knowledge Sharing Center to be situated at the University of Ghana Business School in the offing, partners from the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) on Thursday met the CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr Okoe Boye to deliberate on progress made.
Dr Okoe Boye, who is spearheading this project, commended the team for advancing plans to make the setup of an academic institute purposed on Ghana’s National Health Insurance Scheme become a reality.
He was thankful to the KOFIH team for supporting the NHIA in the development of research policy and agenda for the Authority as the Scheme marks its 20th anniversary this year.
The delegation from KOFIH was made up of Prof. Chang-Bae Chun, a Consultant, Jinho Kang, the Director, Dr. Eunji Kim, a Health Advisor and Priscilla Amaning-Ampong, a Project Manager.
Also present at the meeting was Dr Francis Xavier Andoh- Adjei NHIS project lead, Dr Francis Asenso-Boadi, Director of Research, Policy, Monitoring and Evaluation (RPME), and his deputy Collins Akuamoah Danso.
