Following an invitation by Mr Lanre Gbajabiamila, the Director General of Nigeria’s National Lottery Regulatory Commission(NLRC) during his visit to the NLA, Mr. Sammy Awuku, Director-General of the National Lottery Authority, participated in the launch of Nigerias first National 6/49 Game in Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, Nigeria.
In his speech, Mr. Sammy Awuku entreated the NLRC to conduct the National Game with the highest sense of intergrity, accountability and transparency to instill confidence in the players.
He also urged the Commission to strongly adhere to the correct practices of Responsible Gaming, which includes advertising responsibly and ensuring that minors are not involved in Lottery.
“It was also important to add that whiles generating revenue, the Commission needs to alleviate poverty within the community and make players benefit by giving back to them through good causes” he stated.
The NLA Boss was accompanied by my Deputy Director-General, Ms. Anna Horma Miezah, some Management members and Lotto Marketing Companies (LMCs) of the NLA.
