Nigeria’s military has apologized for an air strike in the north during which 85 civilians were killed.
Going forward, it also pledged to only bomb targets only when they have 100% certainty.
Director of Defence Media Operations Major General Edward Buba has also promised to conduct more training and instruction of air strike protocols.
The strike occurred in Tundun Buri, where villagers had been gathering for a religious festival.
