In a matter of less than two months, the Nkurakan-Somanya road in the Yilo Krobo municipality will be awarded to contract, the Roads Minister, Kwasi Amoako Atta has hinted.
According to the minister, the necessary contractual and procurement processes are currently ongoing and that a contractor would soon be seen on the stretch of the road.
Mr. Amoako Atta disclosed this as part of the President’s visit to the region.
The Atiwa West Member of Parliament admonished that the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party is walking on his talk to ensure all bad roads are fixed for easy transportation for all Ghanaians.
“As I speak to you now, all the necessary processes are being done so within a month or two, there should be a contractor on the road”.
“That stretch of the road is a very sensitive highway as it links to the Krobo enclave, Asuogyaman, and the Volta regions” Mr. Amoako Atta stressed.
He again implored Ghanaians to rally behind the government to see to the successful completion of ongoing road projects across the country.
