The Nation Petroleum Authority (NPA) has made a significant contribution to Sunyani Technical University (STU) in support of its digital learning initiatives.
NPA has generously donated 10 laptops and 10 projectors to the university, a move that is set to enhance the teaching and learning experience for students and faculty.
This meaningful donation was made possible through the efforts of Madam Diana Mogre, a lecturer at STU’s Department of Agriculture, who also serves as a board member of NPA.
Madam Mogre’s dedication and commitment was to bridge the digital gap at STU.
The management team of Sunyani Technical University, led by Vice-Chancellor Ing. Prof. Kwadwo Adinkra-Appiah, graciously received the laptops and projectors on behalf of the university.
During his address, Ing. Prof. Kwadwo Adinkra-Appiah expressed his sincere gratitude to NPA for their generous support.
He highlighted that the donation addresses a significant challenge the university has been facing, particularly in terms of access to projectors.
“These projectors will alleviate the pressure on our existing ones and greatly improve the quality of teaching and learning at STU,” the Vice-Chancellor remarked.
He further emphasized the university’s commitment to transitioning to digital learning, making these resources invaluable.
Ing. Prof. Kwadwo Adinkra-Appiah also expressed his desire for continued collaboration with NPA.
“We believe this is just the beginning of a fruitful partnership,” he stated.
Joseph Kwame Gyan, Deputy Regional Manager of NPA, who represented Mr. Kwadwo Odarno Appiah, the Regional Manager, explained that NPA views corporate social responsibility as a vital aspect of their mission.
“When Sunyani Technical University approached us for support, we recognized the importance of their request,” he noted.
The event was attended by key figures from the university, including Mr. Abina, Deputy Director of Finance, Mr. Frank Owusu secretary to the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat, Mr. Job Manu, Deputy Registrar of Academics, the ICT Director, and the University Librarian.
The generous donation from NPA marks a significant step towards STU’s digital transformation, reaffirming the commitment to providing an advanced and competitive educational experience for its students.
