Mr Kumah Yaw Paul, Bono East Regional Research and Elections Officer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, has observed that unity, peace and hard work are what they need to be able to recapture lost Parliamentary seats and also go ahead to break the ‘8’ rule jinx come 2024.
The NPP continue with its internal elections and after a successful Constituency delegates’ conference, it is now the turn of Regional Executives which is scheduled to take place from 27th to 29th May 2022 across the length and breadth of Ghana.
Speaking in an interview with the media at the Bono East Regional NPP Secretariat in Techiman when receiving nomination forms of interested aspirants, Mr Kumah Yaw Paul revealed that over twenty people had at the time of filing this report picked and submitted their forms and is optimistic of having a fruitful process by the close of nominations to pave way for vetting and subsequent elections.
Meanwhile, Mr Ibrahim Bukari Baba popularly known as Chairman I.B., who has successfully submitted his nomination forms and is poised to become the next Bono East Regional NPP Chairman said the party needs a new face of leadership and direction.
Finally, Mr Kwan Isaac also contesting for the Regional Organizer position said the party’s woeful performance in the 2020 elections was a result of organizational failure and needs change.
