The Member of Parliament for Afram Plains South Constituency, Joseph Appiah Boateng has stated categorically that the Akufo-Addo-led government cannot bring development to the Afram Plains.
To him, people of Afram Plains do not vote for the New Patriotic Party.
In an interview with Agoo FM, Joseph Appiah Boateng lambasted the government to stop deceiving them over the construction of the Afram Bridge.
He also referred to the promise by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as deceptive adding that the opposition NDC party can construct the bridge within a short time.
“The NPP has nothing to offer the people of Afram Plains,’’ said Hon Joseph Appiah.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the 2016 campaign promised the people in the Afram Plains about the construction of a bridge across the River Afram.
But the President in his campaign period cut sod for the construction of some projects across the country leaving Afram Plains.
Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive (DCE) in the area George Ofori in 2018 hinted that the government would soon construct the bridge over the Afram River to help reduce the strenuous way of travelling to the Afram Plains.
