The NPP Constituency Chairman for Adansi Asokwa in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Kwame Owusu has praised the constituency party members for a successful delegate’s conference that was held recently.
He said the annual delegate’s conference was to serve as a rallying point in the renewal and reorganization of the party for victory 2024 and beyond.
Chairman Kwame Owusu commended the party members for observing Covid 19 safety protocols that were put in place.
He added that the event produced “the needed decisions that will support the growth of the party and the development of Ghana.”
He said, during the program, the party members, who are popularly referred to as the ‘Grassroots members’ or ‘owners of the party’, were given the rare opportunity to make contributions to the development of the party.
Also, the party’s financial spending during the past year was announced to them, this will make the party members know whether the party is financially viable in the constituencies as a way to ensure transparency.
The NPP on Saturday, August 21, 2021, began its annual delegates’ conference for 2021 across the country.
The one-week event which was being held in all 275 constituencies is in accordance with Article 7(27) of the party’s constitution.
In line with the Covid-19 protocols, the forum was held in average groups of 250 delegates, while the conference also took place “within two hours, in line with the president’s recent directives”.
