The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper West Akyem Constituency of the Eastern Region, Mr. Alex Amoh has warned persons who have been employed in the Ghana Education Service under President Akufo-Addo’s administration to shun away from lazy work and be faithful in service.
According to him, those who have been in the House for many years after School but were lucky to be recruited under NPP administration should explore their knowledge acquired from School to lift the image of Ghana Education Service high and avoid politics despite their political affiliation and time they were recruited.
Mr. Alex Amoh in an interview said anyone who fails to deliver should be dismissed immediately and said those who are in the service sabotaging their Government should be ready to go Home if the NPP goes to opposition for a new Party to take over.
Commenting on 53 schools which are under investigation for alleged corruption in implementing the Free SHS Feeding Programme, Mr. Alex Amoh noted that some Heads and staff in GES and other state Institution have been sabotaging Government in power and others to use to politicize Ghana Education which he believes is not the best.
He said a report on irregularities in School Feeding Programme in Junior and Senior High Schools started in Former President Agyekum Kufour`s administration and continuing in the Country and called on Government as matter of urgency to investigate the 53 schools and prosecute those involved in stealing.
On the issue of illegal Mining, Mr. Amoh said the Politicization of the fight will never yield result and called on those in Government who are secretly engaged or sponsor illegal mining should think of the citizens and the future of the country but not for their selfish interest.
