The Eastern Regional Secretariat of the ruling New Patriotic Party has declared that the Chief Executive Officer of National Lottery Authority (NLA) Sammy Awuku unopposed candidate in the parliamentary primaries of the party in Akuapem North constituency.
A statement issued November 30,2023 under the signature of the Regional Chairman Jeffrey Konadu said Sammy Awuku was the sole candidate who filed nomination form to contest the seat by close of nomination on November 30.
The Regional Chairman standing on regulations that governs the conduct of the parliamentary primaries, directed the constituency executives in Akuapem North to organize extraordinary delegates conference for acclamation of Sammy Awuku on Saturday December 2,2023 at a venue to be chosen by the constituency leadership in consultation with the regional executives.
The Member of Parliament for Akuapem North Ama Dokua Asiamah has moved to contest Okaikoi North parliamentary seat.
