Team Ken’s Eastern Regional Women’s Coordinator, Yaa Ansah, has praised Kennedy Agyapong’s longstanding contributions to Ghanaian families and key national institutions.
Speaking on Bryt FM’s Adekyee Mu Nsɛm with Kwamina Sam Biney, Yaa Ansah, outlined what she believes are Kennedy Agyapong’s unmatched contributions to Ghana, arguing that his influence is deeply felt across households and public institutions nationwide.
According to her, one of Agyapong’s most impactful interventions was introducing the American lottery to Ghana, a move she believes changed the economic fortunes of countless families.
“Today, because of the American lottery, almost every family in this country has an ‘American borga’ in their home,” she said. “Anyone who travels, works hard, and brings back something beneficial to their country is what we call a patriot someone who truly cares about their country.”
She also highlighted his life saving donations to the Tamale Teaching Hospital, one of Ghana’s three major teaching hospitals.
“If you go to the Tamale Teaching Hospital, you will see his impact,” she noted. “During the period of severe power outages, the hospital had no generator. People were dying, mothers lost their lives during labour, and they couldn’t perform surgeries. This man single handedly provided a generator for the hospital.”
Yaa Ansah stressed that Kennedy Agyapong had no initial intention of contesting the presidency, suggesting his decision was triggered by internal issues within the NPP.
“Kennedy Agyapong was never ready to be president,” she stated. “It was because of the cheating and selfishness within the party that made him decide to stand. Some people were eating all the money and leaving the rest behind. The way we treat our grassroots is very bad.”
She further expressed disappointment at the party’s alleged neglect of individuals who risked their lives during the 2016 elections.
“Even the Invisible Forces we hired to protect the ballot boxes were promised national security positions if they delivered,” she revealed.
“These men used their strength, bodies, and souls to protect the ballots that helped us come into power in 2016. But after doing their job and coming back for the positions we promised them, they were suddenly asked where their certificates were.”
