The former local government minister under the erstwhile John Agyemum Kuffour’s leadership Hon. Kwadwo Agyei Darko has described the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) special delegates conference beneath the November 4th Congress as unnecessary.
He complained that the party had arrived at this current heat and disunity due to circumstances complicated by the special delegates conference.
Hon. Agyei Darko, is the current Vice Chairman of NPP Bono Regional Council of Elders came forth this attributions during his interview with the media.
He therefore advised the party’s election committee to take a cue from the 2007 Presidential primaries and work accordingly.
Hon. Agyei Darko further accused some council of elders at the national level for openly declaring their support for some aspirants ahead of the special delegates conference which does not auger well for the unity of the party.
He highlighted the need for the party leadership to thrive and eliminate all bottlenecks which have consumed the democratic principles of which NPP was built up upon.
He announced that political leadership should be a set of people who could keep the secret themselves and seek the unity of the group.
