Stephen Amoah, the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso, has thrown his full support behind Kennedy Agyapong’s bid to become the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer for the 2028 elections, pushing back against criticism as the race for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer heats up.
He made this assertion on an interview with Okay FM on Monday, September 8, 2025, saying, “Every human being is fallible,”. “People make it seem like Kennedy Agyapong has a bad reputation, but that is unfair.
“Former President John Agyekum Kufuor once said, proverbially, that hot water cannot drown a person, but cold water does. The point is that despite Ken’s shortcomings, he has demonstrated an exemplary lifestyle and has the track record to lead the NPP.”
Sticka again stated that isn’t met any other person as loyal and supportive in and to the party as Kennedy Agyapong.
“Apart from Kwabena Agyepong, there’s no one who has served this party as long and as loyally as Ken,” he said. “He has been financing the party for a very long time, long before we won power for the first time.”
He confidently stated that Ken’s wealth isn’t a benefit of associating with the party
“People claim the party enriched Ken with contracts, but that’s false,” he clarified. “Before the NPP even came to power, he was the sole financier. I remember very well that he once gave the party $300,000 a very long time ago to support our work.” He said.
