Eastern Regional Director of Electoral Commission John Appiah, has reminded delegates to conduct the election decently.
Speaking on Bryt Adekye Mu Nsem, he emphasized that delegates do not have to wear any candidate’s clothes, with write-ups or pictures, to the polling station.
“When coming to the polling station as a delegate, just come with your ID card, vote, and leave,” he said.
“We’ve developed guidelines and we are hoping that all the candidates have received them so that their supporters will also see them”.
The Electoral Commission’s guidelines are clear, which he stated, avoid confusion, no campaigning on election day, and no candidates allowed at polling stations.
“We the Electoral Commission don’t have any interest in who wins, we are here for a credible and acceptable election, not to take sides”.He stated.
“This is an election and it’s voting that they are going to vote not to fight, so you go there and vote and come back to listen to the results to avoid any troubles “. He advised.
