Former deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)Nana Obiri Boahen, has stated emphatically that he will go to any length to ensure Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia becomes his party’s next flagbearer.
According to him, the Vice President is the “ideal” candidate to lead the NPP to “Break the 8” and capable of garnering more votes in the party’s stronghold, Ashanti Region.
Nana Obiri Boahen stated on NEAT FM’s morning show, ‘Ghana Montie,’ that his affection for the Vice President is “unrivaled.”
“Even if I have to sell my properties, I will do so to support Dr Bawumia. He is the best candidate for the NPP,” he claimed.
It could be recalled that, Mr. Obiri Boahena, some months ago informed Kwesi Aboagye, the host, that he will make sacrifices to ensure that the second gentleman of the land becomes the NPP’s leader ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
