Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso constituency in the Ashanti Region, Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah has indicated that Alan John Kyeremanten is the only candidate to lead the party in breaking the eight agenda.
This follows a speech delivered by Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng after his resignation as Trade and Industry Minister, which has received several backlash from political activists and the media.
Reacting to the issue, the former legislator explained Mr Alan Kyeremanten possess traits of Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, as he is calm and ready for the battle ahead of the flagbearship position.
According to him, the former Trade Minister has really served and has proven to be on top of issues in this country in every sector where given the opportunity.
“We know Alan has made a mark in every sector he has been in this country and I know very well that he is going to embark on more action and have less talk”, he stated.
However, he expressed his dissatisfaction with calls to merge Dr. Bawumia and Alan Kyeremanteng going into the 2024 elections as he described those pleas as unfair.
“I don’t know what they mean by merging Bawumia and Alan, we wouldn’t be fair to them if that should happen,” he added.
Subsequently, he suggested that all candidates seeking to win the flagbearership position must run a clean campaign when the time is due.
