Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has asked proponents of those calling for Alan-Bawumia ticket to put a stop to it immediately before it destroys the party.
The former President from our inside sources gave this advise when Team Bawumia visited him recently.
He admonished party leaders to respect the constitution of the party which gives the power of nominating a running mate to be flag bearer and warned those pushing for the Alan-Bawumia ticket to immediately desist from that.
President Kufuor advised that competition should be healthy and as a beneficiary of competition, he will be the last person to endorse such a move that seeks to destroy democracy.
He urged national executives of the party as well as council of elders to be seen to be upholding the constitution of the party and not to be foisting things on the party that are not constitutional.
