Christiana Agyapong, the wife of Kennedy Agyapong, the flagbearer candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a former member of parliament for Assin Central, has promised jobs to Ghana’s youth following her husband’s election as president.
She clarified that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is renowned for launching all of the nation’s pro-poor policies and initiatives, and her husband plans to carry on with that if elected.
When Christiana Agyapong revealed this, she was addressing a group of party members.
“Honourable says he is coming to create jobs. When the NPP comes to power, we do things that benefit the country, and every household benefits from these policies and programmes. President Kufour came with free maternal care, after which he introduced school feeding.
When President Akufo-Addo came, he introduced Free SHS, which has allowed several Ghanaian youth to have a high school education for free. Honourable is saying that after university education, you should have jobs, and that is why he wants to lead the country,” she said while addressing party faithful.
One of the prominent individuals that has chosen to run for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearership is Kennedy Agyapong.
When they cast their ballots on January 31, 2026, the party will choose its leader. The former member of parliament for Assin Central is hopeful of winning because he thinks the NPP needs a new face for 2028.
