In pursuant to Article 10(7)(3) of the New Patriotic Party’s constitution, a seven member Constitutional and Legal Committee has been formed and it will be headed by Frank Davies.
Lawyer Frank Davies has been re-appointed as Constitutional and Legal Committee chairman and he is currently the Board
Chairman of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).
The lawyer, who was one of the lawyers who represented the president in the 2020 Election Petition at the Supreme Court.
Other members of the Constitutional and Legal Committee are Gary Nimako,Kow Essuman, Kwaku Osei Asare, Shadrack Obeng Yeboah, Mrs. Juliana Adoyobo and Sulley Sambian.
The Directorate shall, among other things, be responsible for advising the General Secretary of the Party in the performance of his functions on legal matters affecting the Party including Members of the Party and ancillary matters of legal nature in the day-to-day administration of the Party.
The Legal Affairs Directorate is also tasked with the responsibility of coordinating the Party’s legal cases and resolving internal legal issues as and when they arise while providing education on the internal Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures enshrined in the NPP Constitution.
