Central Regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Takyi Mensah has debunked accusations from the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the ruling NPP government has abandoned unfinished projects under the previous NDC government.
He made this revelation in an interview on Dadi FM, 101.1 that NPP has completed if not all, most of the projects initiated by the NDC.
According to him, when the NPP assumed power they realized that Mahama had made plans to build 10 polyclinics for the Central Region, they had not done any major work on it but NPP took it up to help the Region.
“When the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo assumed power, Mahama had already initiated a project to build 10 polyclinics in Central Region. Due to Nana Addo’s love for good healthcare in every part of the country, he took up that project and made sure all finances on the project were paid. After two years, we commissioned all the 10 polyclinics in August/September. Some are situated in Akomfode, Driwaa, and Agona East and all over”, he explained.
He added that he can confidently attest that NPP has never abandoned any project that the NDC has initiated.
“NDC should show us projects Nana Addo has abandoned since he assumed power, it is never true. There is nothing like that”.
