The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has come under heavy fire from Alhaji Said Sinare, the former national vice chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, who called them Ghana’s biggest blunder.
The Zongo President of the NDC, Faisal Kumilah, is a well-known Hausa musician. He welcomed prominent members of the Muslim community to his Labone home on Saturday. The NDC President also urged on Ghanaians to firmly reject the NPP on December 7, 2024.
Additionally, the ex-high commissioner exhorted irate NPP members to quit the party due to “its deplorable performance that plunged Ghana into a state of sorry and disarrays,” saying the “mass defection from the ruling party across the country signalled the coming interment of the NPP.”
He called Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia a total letdown, unable to reflect the better future and hopes that Ghanaians have for their country after assisting President Nana Addo in dismantling every foundational framework that Ghana was granted in 2016.
“It is important to stress once again that the 2024 general elections, more than anything else, is a referendum about the scorecard of the NPP and Ghanaians should not reward their failure with even a day more on the saddle,” he stated.
