The former Tamale Mayor, who is the current Deputy C.E.O of Ghana Forestry Commission, Iddrisu Musah popularly known as Musah Superior has called for an intellectual debate between other NPP members aspiring to be the party’s next General Secretary in the upcoming internal elections.
The aspirant, who has already made public his policies and plans for the party if elected as the General Secretary is calling for this activity to enhance the competitiveness among the General Secretary aspirants of the New Patriotic Party.
According to him, it is very important to effect changes at the NPP top hierarchy to allow local party officials and members to learn new skills, explore new opportunities and exercise their creativity in ways that will ultimately benefit the party.
“Preparing the masses of our party to muster courage and hire me to become the General Secretary is what I am doing, it is unsurprising that the majority of the party people are calling for a complete overhaul of the current National Officers of our party, ‘he said.
In a statement, he further added that the grassroots of the New Patriotic Party have evaluated the performances of the current National Executives and are dissatisfied with it.
