The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Ade Coker has categorically stated that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is bringing violence into politics and their members of the NDC are getting agitated about it.
Mr Coker added that Supporters of the NDC want the party to be more aggressive in the 2024 elections in order to win power from the NPP.
To him, the supporters are making their demand based on what transpired during the 2020 polls where they believed the governing party used thugs to win the polls.
He went on that Ghanaians wanted democracy where people would be agreeable to each other and understand and have feelings for each other.
“The NDC has not lost its social democratic identity as is being claimed by some political observers,’’ Mr Coker told TV3.
Mr Coker revealed that they have not departed from their social democratic principles.
He said the hospitals they built in this pandemic era has saved so many lives adding that schools that they built have helped a lot of people to get the so called free SHS.
Mr Coker discharged claims that their party has veered from its tradition.
