Supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP have been urged to strengthen their campaign in ensuring the party secures victory in the December 7 general elections.
Reacting to current poll by Global Info Analytics that predict former president and leader of the main opposition NDC, John Dramani Mahama to win the presidential election by over 51%, Mr. Kofi Tonto, political Aide to Dr. Bawumia described it as baseless.
The poll also predicted that the NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will also secure a little over 45% with leader of the New Force Nana Kwame Bediako tipped to emerge third.
But Mr. Tonto indicated the poll lacks credibility and therefore, the NPP cannot rely on it going into the elections.
“Looking at the survey and and the methodology used, you can see there are a lot of lapses that does not make the outcome credible. It is a scheme to place Mahama ahead of Bawumia but we are not concerned about that, our focus is to campaign well enough to clinch victory” he stressed.
He again debunked report that the withdrawal of Alan Kyeremanten from the NPP has had negative impact on the party, stating only few members of the party followed him.
