The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said the manifesto launched by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday, August 22, 2020, does not inspire and show hope since the manifesto has been reused.
According to NDC, the promises made by the NPP does not show in their 3 years of ruling this country.
Speaking in an interview on Citi news with the Deputy General Secretary for the NDC, Peter Otukunor said the NPP’s 2020 manifesto is not realistic which does not give Ghanaians the information they need so that they could be voted into power again come December 7 polls
“You will see clearly that the manifesto they put out was not a manifesto that inspires hope. We expect that a manifesto for a government that is in power will inspire hope and provide the needed vision that Ghanaians can rely on to make any meaningful decisions but here we are, it is the same old recycled, outrageous promises without any basis or clear direction. Most of the promises were made because they think that they have to say something,” Mr Otukunor said.
Mr Otukunor made this statement after the NPP launched seeking a second term mandate with promises of the things it will continue to do after Ghanaians grant them.
The Manifesto which contained 216 pages was themed “Leadership of service, Protecting Our Progress and Transforming Ghana for all.
However, the NDC will launch its manifesto on 29 August 2020 for the 2020 election.
