Communication Team Member of the opposition party National Democratic Congress (NDC), Owusu Banahene has called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to reduce fuel price.
According to him, the world market has reduced fuel price to 50%.
He added that the reduction of the fuel price should benefit businesspersons, commercial drivers, passengers and individuals in the country.
“Nana Addo should consider the hardship in the country and reduce the fuel price to at least 20%,” to improve economic stability,” he said.
Dr Eric Osei Assibey, an economist at the University of Ghana has also pleaded to the NPP government to deduct some percentage from fuel price to enable Ghanaian to enjoy the better economic system.
Speaking to one of the TV station based in Accra, Owusu Banahene said the old price is 25 cedis pair gallon and hence the government should reduce the price at least to 18 cedis pair gallon.
