Information gathered by mybrytfmonline.com indicates there is tension in the New Juaben North constituency as NPP elects parliamentary candidate today.
This comes after misunderstanding allegedly broke between supporters of two candidates; Seth Kwame Acheampong (the Regional minister) and Nana Osei Agyei.
The incident according to eyewitnesses who are also delegates, occured at the venue of the voting after some supporters of Nana Osei Agyei attempted to dig out salt and other items allegedly planted by supporters of the Regional minister.
The report also has it that, one Sabit who is an aid to the Regional minister was wounded later rushed to the Central hospital.
Delegates are, therefore, calling on the leadership of the party and the police service to ensure maximum security in Saturday’s election to prevent any chaos.
