Former food and agriculture minister Owusu Afriyie Akoto has said farmers comprise his largest constituency and believes they would vote for him to be the next flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party.
Dr Afriyie Akoto told journalists in Accra that his achievements as minister has endeared him to farmers from whom he hopes to reap a reward of support for his aspiration to become president.
“Most of these farmers I met in Upper East, Upper West, Savanna regions are also delegates and party constituencies executives” he noted.
He added: “The one million farmers are the ones who will bear witness to me”.
